You'll need to experiment to find which mode lets you braille the fastest and most efficiently. If you set the mode to use contracted braille with a three finger swipe right, the word is translated as soon as you press space, so a receiver of your message doesn't know how you composed the message. You can configure the dot placement, but you don't have to do this each time you enter braille screen mode. You'll soon get the feel and shape of your hands on the screen, and will quickly be able to use this mode. It's the only way I text and otherwise send output on my iPhone, as I never use dictation to talk with people. Having this mode was the final clincher that caused me to personally invest in an iPhone after having one given to me for my work purposes.

hi since we have been talking about braille input on the i Phones?
Can someone please share the difference between the two modes of railing on the iPhone. Like witch one of the two will give you the feel of typing on A braille writer and witch one is the best one to use that will let you get the best results and let you type reasonably fast and can you use grade two on the braille input as well? And if you did this will the text message read fine on the persons end that you send them to if you use grade two braille? One last thing when you select braille screen input do you have to first configure the dot placement with you fingers first or how exactly does that work?
