Hi Louise, For that kind of detail, you may want to use an app like Be My Eyes or Bespecular to get sighted assistance with clothing identification. However, if you previously had vision and already have good concepts of what colors and patterns match, then you may be able to make good use of apps like CamFind, Tap Tap See and Identifi. I've had good luck with CamFind for helping me put together basic color combos such as black pants and a red shirt, for example. I think it will also tell you if the item has a striped or checked pattern, too. CamFind, Tap Tap See and Identifi are free, so you don't have to worry about spending money needlessly on something that doesn't work for you. I've found that color identification apps like AidColors and Color Id yielded really oddball, unreliable results so I personally don't recommend them, but other people may have had better luck with them than I have.
