Hi, I'm hearing you. I am not sure if they changed things, but more likely broke things.
It use to be that you could flick through a playlist and when you found a song you liked, you could flick up in the rotor to the "Add to playlist" option. Double tapping this would then bring up a list of your playlists. You would then just double tap on the one you wanted to add the song too. Now, you need to first start playing the song, then open the now playing screen before you can add it to a playlist. Much more combersome. I would suggest you also write to Apple accessibility and let them know of this regression, as I have done.
