I don't know I understand your point, why is it awkward to use the backfacing
camera? Normally you want to show the person something and using the backfacing
camera makes more sense because as you hold the phone with the screen towards
you where you can still do things on the touch screen the camera is now facing
away from you and you can point it at whatever you want the person to see. It's
pointing in the direction you would look at, if you asked somebody who was
physically with you to look at something often they will stand behind you or
next to you so they can look where you are looking/pointing.
I guess the only exception would be if you want the Be My Eyes person to look
at you, maybe a shirt or sweater you are wearing, that is the only time where I
could see it being of benefit to switch to the frontfacing camera.
Anyhow, I haven't used Be My Eyes in a while, but I don't recall that there was
a flip camera button like you have when you do a Facetime Video call. Facetime
uses the front camera because the main purpose is that you want to have a video
chat where the other party can see you, but you can flip the camera to the
backfacing camera for Facetime. I guess you could contact Be My Eyes and
suggest that they look at providing the option to use either camera in a future
update.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Using Front-Facing Camerca with Be My Eyes

All,

I had a great first Be My Eyes experience. The only issue was that my phone was
using the regular camera on the back, so I kept needing to awkwardly turn it
around. Anyone know a way to use the front-facing camera instead?
