I can confirm this for the smartbeetle. Typing is still slow but nolonger
sluggish.
However, the bug of the smartbeetle with missing letters and signs is still
there. But I fear this has more to do with Hims policies than Apple.
Please can someone test with Baum Pronto brail devices, my Pronto V3 is
still very sluggish.

Yes, this bug has been fixed. Also, the bug where some devices would have
very sluggish text input through a braille display that was introduced with
iOS 10.2 has been resolved in 10.2.1.
