Hi folks I was one of them that had persistent problems in the messenger app just like Brant. Today, I updated again all stuff to the latest with no luck. I am so puzzled of being someone that has that particular problem of unlabeled bugs knowing that 90% of the other blind chaps do have a very well normal working messenger app.
So tonight I decided to erase all of my facebook content thus also the app. Then I did a hard reset on my iphone. and the next step I would be doing is erase messenger after the reset and execution of the app memory and disk scan to delete all temporary files and stuff. But ... I was completely surprised. Just erasing my fb and hard resetting apparently repaired my still existing messenger app. I opened the app just to see whether anything should have changed and then I was planning to erase it too lie I told you before. Now I only have messenger on my phone and really all problems have gone, all buttons are labeled. The only bug I still can confirm is that forwarded links in messenger are nolonger spoken but that’s a overall bug for everyone,, a not important bug over which I am not gona complain at the moment. So Brant and all others facing my problem, try those steps and don’t worry, when reinstalling facebook later on which I did, just login and all your content is back.
