Nobody really knows except Apple and they will tell us when it sees fit, but my 
prediction is another year going by the drop of the iPhone 4s last year and 
probably the 5 and 5C this year. I would say, if it aint broke, don't fix it. 
Carry on using it, even if it's no longer supported, however as time goes by 
more and more apps will no longer work, new security issues will be discovered, 
so will bugs, and they will never be fixed.
