I had a similar issue with my 6S Plus, but only when it was a bit cold outside.
This happened a few times in October when I was in Calgary and it wasn't even
that cold, around or just above freezing (0 to +3 Celsius, so low to mid 30's
F). I went to the Apple Store and they also said the battery tested fine, after
it did this a few more times I went back and another genious helped me, I
explained that it continues to do this and since I have Apple Care Plus he said
he could give me a replacement phone. I have never had this issue since and I
have used it now in December and January when it was much colder, as low as
about -25 or -28 Celsius (-12 to -18 Fahrenheit). Of course I would usually
have it under my jacket, but I have pulled it out in these temperatures and
used it just as I did with the old one and where the old one shut down this one
works fine. Not sure if you live in a cold place and also I don't know if it
does it a lot or every time, but if it does I'd simply insist on a replacement.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Re: Iphone 6 unexpected shutdown

I had this exact problem with my iPhone 6 that I got in mid December 2014. The
problem started in July 2016. The phone would unexpectedly would shut down
with displaying the low battery alert. The problem started out happening like
you described, when the battery had 3%, 7%, 11% it would turn off. I would let
my battery completely go dead once a week & only would charge the battery when
it had 3-5% battery life left. This problem lasted about 3 months, then I
started noticing that my battery would go from 100% charged to 50-60% charged
in less than 30 minutes & would unexpectedly shut down without a low battery
alert when the battery was 20-30% battery remaining. My iPhone was still under
warranty with Square trade in November 2016, so I sent it off to be serviced.
My iPhone had several pixils that had burnt out & according to Square Trade
there was a problem with my battery when it was tested. My iPhone works great
now.

Hello group,

i have an Iphone 6 64GB purchased in July 2015. Noticed that the phone will
randomly shut off sometimes with 11%, 5% 3% battery power remaining. Looked on
line at apple's page and my device is not eligible for a battery replacement.
Erased all content and settings/ restored the Iphone through Itunes (as new and
re-installed the software 10.2.1.) Went to apple store in North ridge a few
weeks ago the employee that helped me ran a battery diagnostic showed me that
it passed. The girl said it could be hardware related.. I make sure to charge
the phone to 100% as often as possible.

What are everyone's thoughts? has anyone else experienced this? my plan since i
still have apple care is to replace my 6 with a new Iphone 6 directly from
Apple. See if this fixes the issue.
