Kimber, I'm not using the very latest version of Facebook, but when I double tap and hold on that second tap while a post on my newsfeed has focus, I get that floating menu just above the post and one of its options is copy which I double tap. I just tested this on a post and it worked just fine when I pasted it into a new note.
