Yes, the app is accessible ... with the exception of the battery gauge ...

There is a large start button with 2 smaller buttons around it.  I don't recall 
which one was necessary to push for the 980 to begin the pairing process.  One 
of the smaller buttons is for spot cleaning..frankly I never use them.  When
