I have to chime in on this thread because several years ago a very good friend 
had installed InstaCart on her iPhone only to find it extremely inaccessible.  
She asked me if I’d install and try it out so I could contact InstaCart 
development with a list of accessibility issues.  I did install the app and did 
contact InstaCart development with what I had learned by trying to use that 
quite inaccessible interface.

My experience with their support team after contacting them was nothing short 
of miraculous.  Those folks were completely receptive to constructive critique 
and followed up with I can only describe as total commitment to making the app 
accessible to the blind community.  My friend continually informs me that she 
is able to use the app with no problems; I suspect that if someone would 
contact InstaCart support with an explanation of the rating routines that too 
would be corrected.  In fact, I’ve tried for several years to nominate 
InstaCart for an accessibility award from the AppleVis team but for whatever 
reason my nominations have seemed to go ignored.

I only wish InstaCart services were available in the Twin Ports (Duluth, 
Minnesota & Superior, Wisconsin); I would use it as it is so much easier than 
working with some other apps I use for shopping.
