Hi Mario, I don't have an iPhone 7, but magnifier as far as I know has the same functionality on other phones and for a completely blind user there is as far as I know no benefit to using magnifier.
As for your delete key issue, do you have a screen protector? Could it be possible there is a small bubble or imperfection where the delete key is which causes this behaviour? You may have already tried this, but sometimes even cleaning the screen can improve how well touch works and while it's an obvious thing and something everybody should do from time to time it is also easily forgotten.
