That certainly does- thanks! I see that if your phone is plugged in, the call
will still come through because the screen is not locked while Siri is turned
on and listening. Also, apparently having the setting turned on to allow
favorites to ring through is the default now- at least I never had this problem
before.

Subject: Re: Do Not Disturb, was no subject

Greetings. I use Do Not Disturb regularly. If you want to change settings for
it go to Do Not Disturb in the iOS Settings. You can switch on or off several
controls, including allowing calls from favorites, allowing repeated calls made
within a few minutes, and so forth. You can set it up to be on a certain
schedule, like if you want Do Not Disturb active from 10p to 7a every night.
Unfortunately, you cannot set a different schedule for weekends and for
weekdays. To control whether individual contacts can bypass the DND setting,
you need to go to the contacts on your device, choose the contact, and then hit
edit. There will be a button that appears near the top of the screen labeled
something like, "Bypass Do Not Disturb." When turned on, it will do exactly
that. If you have set a text tone for the person, then I have found that when
their message comes through, the associated text tone will play as well,
regarless if DND is on or not.
Sometimes I have been in meetings and had DND on, but then a text tone plays
for one of the VIP contacts which I have allowed the bypass for.
Also, even if your device is muted and DND is not turned on, the text toen will
play.

Hope this helps,
Wayne
