Hi Marissa,

Don't restore the old iPhone to factory settings until the new one is up and 
running. This is a good idea anyway, since that way you'll still have a working 
device if something goes wrong setting up the new one. The 6-digit code you 
need for two-factor authentication will be sent to the old phone, and you can 
use that to activate the new one. The old phone will continue to function over 
Wi-Fi even after the new phone is activated; it will work exactly the same as 
it did before except that it won't have cell service.
