Joney, Unfortunately restoring an iPhone and then restoring a backup is not necessarily the same as setting up as a new device. Problems can be “backed up” so to speak and reappear once a corrupted backup is restored. If there is a problem with anything where nothing else helps the first thing will always be to restore as a new device. Then after you run the phone for a day or two as a new device without issues you can still restore a previous backup and if the problem you had then reappears you know that it is part of your backup. You then have to restore one more time, set up as a new device and simply start from scratch, set up all your apps and accounts, sync any ringtones or other media you may have etc. It can be a fair bit of work, but at times it’s the only way to start with a clean slate.

I did my encrypted back before I started, then I signed out of everything, and proceeded with the reset. When the phone came back on, I restored from my back up, and happily everything was there as it should, emails, text messages and passwords eccettra eccetttra, however, VoiceOver is terrible. I've tried downloading other voices, and everyone I've tried with the enhanced version of the voice, sound slightkly distorted and raspby. I've been through the settings so many times, and I know I've missed something, but for the life of me, I can't seem to find what it is. Can any kind soul please point me in the right direction?
