Problem solved. My sister is downloading the very app I wanted at the time I
was not showing up as doing family sharing. At her and my name was blotted out.
Grade out. I don't dare use that other word which Siri never ever gets right
when I try and dictate it. Anyway I suppose I was asked for a code and my
sisters card number when I was trying to purchase something that was not in her
list. That must've been what happened yesterday. Makes sense. It's not going to
just let me order whatever I want without her permission, right? Hello all,
I went to the App Store to download something the other day and looked at my
sisters purchases. We're doing family sharing. I had trouble downloading what I
wanted and didn't understand why today when I went back and hit on the update
tap and looked at purchases again, my sister was no longer listed in there at
my end. At her and my name is dimmed out. Could this be because we are running
different iOS versions? She's up to 10.3 I am not. Yesterday when I try to
download something it said my sister or I needed to put in a special code. Also
seem to indicate that it wanted a different card number from her. When I spoke
to my sister today, she said some strange things have been happening as well at
her and, and she didn't know what the cause of that was. She just downloaded a
app and everything seemed to go just fine except that my name had been dimmed
out.
Any suggestions of what I might do at my end at this point? I went to settings
and I couldn't find the area where would indicate that we were doing family
sharing under the App Store iTunes part of settings. I went into the App Store
and iTunes settings and there's nothing there about Family sharing. This is a
very strange.
