I also have an IPhone 5 that I use as, as it were, an IPod Touch, which, you
probably already know, is an IPhone without the phone capability. I ported my
number to my IPhone 6, so when I would try to make a call on the 5, just to see
what it would do, it told me I couldn't, and to call a pound plus number if I
wanted to turn it back on as a phone. So, I took phone out of the app switcher,
and have continued to use it as an IPod Touch, on wifi. I didn't set it up as
a new phone, I still had data on it that it was more convenient to leave on it,
and have had no problems using it as I have outlined. I will be able to turn it
back on as a phone in the future if something happens to this one.

Subject: using old phone like ipod

Hi all,

I am now using an Iphone 6 but still have my Iphone 5. Is it possible
to use it like or similar to an Ipod/music player? If so what all does
one need to do to it to get it setup for this?

thanks.
