The Nest thermostat will report the humidity through its app (along with current temperature).
If you have a dehumidifier, or a variable speed air handler on your air conditioner, it will also control the humidity. Even if you have no special equipment, you can set the Nest thermostat to cool with the air conditioner until it has reached a specified humidity level, so if you need to control humidity the Nest thermostat will do this any number of different ways. Is there an app or a device that will hook to the phone through an app that will tell what the humidity in the house? I used to know the name of this instrument, but I am having a senior moment! LOL.
