For one thing it is unlikely you would want the 42mm watch. I’m not a huge guy, but I’m just under 6 feet with a reasonably strong/athletic built and while at first I thought that is what I wanted, once I put it on in an Apple Store to try it I realized I liked the size of the 38mm watch much better. Not only is the 42mm noticeably longer, but also thicker and heavier. The other decisions you have to make is whether you want to save a bit of money and get the first generation watch which now does have the same processor or if you want to get the second gen which is fully waterproof as in you can go swimming with it and also if you want the stainless stell model or the aluminum body model. For me the decision about the model was easy, I am pretty active outdoors, I like to go canoeing, kayaking and whitewater rafting and to take my dog to the river or lake in the summer so a fully waterproof watch is absolutely essential. I am also not always the most careful when it comes to banging it into things so I decided to go with the stainless steel model which has a sapphire crystal screen. The Sport/aluminum model has Gorilla Glass which is tough, but not as tough and scratch resistant as sapphire crystal. Ultimately it will be best if you are able to make it to an Apple Store where you can get them to show you all the watches, try them out and see what the different bands are like, the milanese loop is by far my favourite. This leads me to one last piece of advice, buy the watch with the cheapest band option from Apple which is the rubber sportsband and then buy whichever band you want on Amazon. You can get a perfectly good milanese loop or linked bracelet band on Amazon for about $15 or $20 whereas Apple charges you 10 times that or more; it’s the biggest rip-off Apple is currently involved in except maybe for the $300 “Apple Book” they sell which is a coffee table sized photobook of all Mac computers from the past to the present. I have done a little research and am wondering where can I find a comparison of all of the models and their features?
