It is 20 icons, but you can create folders by moving an app on top of another. IN the folders, you can have 9 apps per page. I’m not honestly sure how many pages per folder, but if you had 9 apps in each folder that would be 180 apps. One source seems to say you can have 16 apps per folder, but I’m not sure that is true. iPads have more apps available because of the larger screen.
