Blind Abilities is very helpful for giving you easy access to blindness podcasts, they've started a nice series for IOS beginners as well.
AI Polyvision is interesting and fun to play with, but it drains your battery enormously quickly, and yet never has provided me with what I'd call useful info. I think for the money, the $10 barcode reader app named Digit-Eyes is very helpful, and the Identify app for color/clothing description is also good.
