The capability of emailing a text message to a phone has been available for some time. Of course the text message rules about length etc. still apply. To send an email as text message from a computer to a phone, address the email to complete-phone-mumber@carior-suffix. For example, to email a text message to a Verizon.com phone for phone number (123) 456-7890 use an address of [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. Note that some carriers have different suffixes for plain text messages and mms messages with media such as pictures attached.
