A few years ago we wen without wifi for about 18 months in orer to save money. Though it did save some money, my wife and I ended up going to my in-laws house and using their wifi several times a month. Or, we would park ourselves in McDonald's or Starbucks and use the slower public wifi there. At the time, our data plan was very limited. We were on AT&T and had about 4 gigs of shared data. Now we are on T-Mobile, and when we signed up, we both got 10 gig data plans. We have hoem wifi through Spectrum, and pay about $45 monthly for up to 100 GB wifi. Pretty good deal all things considered. Like someone else said, it is faster and a lot less of a headache to just use wifi rather than mess with your data. Besides, there's no way of knowing if you might really need that data plan at some point.
