I have both the Creative Roar generation 1
speaker and more recently the VaVa Voom 20 watt
speaker. I particularly like the VaVa Voom. It
has 3 built-in equalizer settings for classic,
party and surround. The party setting emphasizes
both the highs and lows which sounds great to my
ears. It used to be listed last year on Amazon
for around $150 but seems to be at $90 right now;
don't know if this is the new normal or not. On
Amazon it has a 4.6 rating out of 5 with a
thousand reviews. The speaker has a lot of weight
to it, is moderately compact and people say it
looks very nice on my work office desk. Check it out at

Bose has a new bluetooth speaker called
"Soundlink revolve" It has 360 directional
speakers so that no matter where you sit you should hear stereo.
There are two models the revolve + which has a
handle and is 7inches around for $299.99 and the
