Hi Rich,

I just downloaded Bispecular and while I had signed up for it in the past, I 
went through the sign up process out of curiocity and to see if I can replicate 
what some of you seem to experience.

When I first opened the app I was asked if I want to allow push notifications, 
I said "Allow"
On the next screen I found a "Sign Up" and a "Log In" button, clearly labelled 
and straight forward.
I tapped on Sign Up, the next screen had a Cancel button at the top left, then 
the heading "Sign Up" also on the top row.
Underneath it says "Please sign up to be part of Bispecular's awesome 
community".
Then it says "Account type" and this is followed by two buttons, Sighted and 
Visually Impaired and it seems the visually impaired button is selected by 
default.
After that it asks for first name and last name which are both normal edit 
fields.
Then next is "Pick your language" which says also "text field", but when I 
double tap on it it immediately put "English" in this text field and when I 
touch near the bottom of the screen above the home button it has a picker item 
which says "English, picker item, adjustable".
For me this only had "English" and with a flick up "Italiano" as the two 
choices. A flick left from English put me on the Done button which is standard 
procedure for picker items.
After I tapped done the next item which is the Age text field was already 
activated. It works the same way, the first choice "Less than 15" is inserted 
into the text field, but if you touch above the home button you have the picker 
item and flicking up gets you 20, 21-25, 26-40, 41-60 and 60 Plus as options. 
Flick to the one that applies to you, swipe left once and tap on "Done" and it 
moves on to the next required field which is email address. For me Voiceover 
correctly said "text field is editing, email, character mode, insertion point 
at start".



 the Age picker item, here it's automatically at the lowest setting, Less than 
15, if I flick up I get 20, then 21-25, 26-40, 41-60 and 60+, again the Done 
button is there a flick to the left.
After that there is only the password field, a confirm password field and a 
field which says "A short bio describing yourself, not required but appreciated 
by our VIP's".
At the very end is a proceed button, I didn't tap it since I was already 
registered, but certainly filling out the form seemed fully accessible and far 
from a ridiculous experience, it took me less than a minute.
At the beginning when I filled in my first name and swiped right assuming it 
would then go to last name it did seem to jump to password, but a quick 
3-finger tap in the middle of the screen told me I was on page 2 of 2, I did a 
swipe up with 3 fingers to go back to the first page, touched in the middle and 
immediately found the last name field.

I also find that the BeSpecular sign-up is far from accessible. I have tried 
several times to complete all the edit boxes and pickers, but the labels for 
each item are not always read by Voiceover and I can never complete it 
successfully.  Thus, from my standpoint, this app has a long way to go for the 
blind.  The sign-up is ridiculous!
