Also, the widely varying fonts and sizes and sometimes lack of contrast makes it difficult. That being said, if the label is not too odd, it can work. Boxes can be OK but again, it depends on if the font is not too fancy and has good color contrast. If you are looking for the directions on a box, try the www.directionsforme.com<http://www.directionsforme.com> web site once you identify the product. It really depends on what you are planning to do with the scanned text afterward as to whether KNFB Reader is worth the money for you. If you want to be able to save documents, it works well. If you just want to read and be done with it, try Prizmo Go which is free. Then, if you want to be able to copy that text into an Email or word processing app, you can buy the Export pack for $4.99. It is a brand new app that I’m quite impressed with. It is certainly worth trying out for free. I also find that in some situations, one OCr app does well with an item while the other doesn’t, so it never hurts to have a couple of them to use.
