You must first move the mail to the trash folder, and you can delete it from
there.

The issue is i have just created an email account on my iphone and it has
over 10, 000 messages and i wish to delete them all at once.
I realise you can't do this from the iphone mail app,so i was informed
that you had to go to googlemail and do it from there.
