You may want to see if not having VoiceOver speak on the lock screen fixes it
in the VoiceOver settings.
Or, stating the obvious here, set the do not disturb time later.
If you just turn off speech with the three finger double tap, you can still
answer the phone using the two finger double tap.

Hi all,

I have my phone set to “do not disturb” over night. When it comes out of this
mode, I may actually still be asleep at 7 am, but it immediately starts
speaking, giving me the current list of notifications.

I know I can turn off VoiceOver, or turn off speech, but I’ve also found I
usually forget the odd state I’ve left things in when a call comes in, and I
have trouble answering it. So, I thought I’d ask if there’s any other way to
keep VO from giving me all this speech when “do not disturb” ends?

Thanks,

Chip
