Open the Mail app and make sure you are all the way backed out to you rlist of folders. You should have a VIP folder and if you swipe right once it will say "More Info for VIP". Double tap on this. Here you see a list of all your contacts who are VIP's, if you want to delete one of them just make sure focus is on that contact and swipe down or up with one finger to the "delete" rotor option, then double tap and that contact will be removed. If you go to "Add VIP which is not announced as a button or a link you can double tap and it will bring up your contacts and you can select somebody to be added. At the very bottom you find "VIP Alerts" which takes you to the notification centre settings for Mail and right into the VIP mailbox/area.
