Have you rebooted the phone? That behavior starts to sound like when the phone's resources are maxed out.
I haven't used playlists in YouTube, so I'm not sure, just guessing. I have attempted to reinstall the app and this workaround only worked for a day and now the app crashes again. I tried to reinstall the app but now it crashes consistently when I tap on a playlist. If this makes any difference, I am using the YouTube app signed into my Google account. Has anyone else noticed this behavior and have any suggestions?
