I'm a bit confused by my results following syncing my iPhone 7 with iTunes after my last two song purchases from the iTunes Store on my phone. I purchased the two songs on my iPhone, went into the music app, and added them to my main playlist that I have set up to sync in iTunes. I would think that any songs I've added either on my computer or on my iPhone and have added to a synced playlist should remain in sync between the two. However, following a sync, the purchased songs are no longer in the playlist on my iPhone to which I added them. Its' as if the initial sync following their purchase didn't transfer them to the playlist on my computer and subsequent syncs then removed them from the playlist on my iPhone.
Is it not possible for songs purchased directly on your iPhone and placed in a synced playlist to be transferred to that playlist on your computer following a sync? What about calendar events that I add directly to my iPhone? Will they be synced to my computer since I have contacts and calendars set to sync in iTunes? I'm having a hard time understanding why I got the results I did with purchased songs and would welcome any explanations.
