I really like Near-by Explorer, but I don’t think it would be all that helpful in traversing a specific route which isn’t based on named roads (that is, I don’t think it can record “routes”). Just like Blind Square, it could only record the end of the route and aim you at it. Either of these could also allow you to record way points along your route, but you would have to remember to switch to the correct next waypoint each time you arrived at one. I believe Near-by Explorer is better at getting you to a point in that it allows you to use your phone as a “pointer”, and it will indicate to you when you have the end of your phone pointed directly at the desired point.
I think Seeing Eye can record a route of waypoints however.
