Hi, For the app running the battery down here is what it is doing. When you have the app turn on or opened the lights on the iPhone are on. That is why it runs the battery down real fast. I went into menu and then setting in the app and turn the light off. As long as you are in a lighted room the app seems to read ok. So by having the lights off on the app it saves the battery.

I scanned several pieces I received in the mail and wanted to know the sender and if they were sent to me or just junk without opening the envelopes, and I was very happy with the results. I took a photo of myself several times, and each time got the gender and the general description correct. However, the guessing of the age was funny. One time it made me 65 years old, a second time 55 years old, and the third time was close enough to the real of 45 years old. However, the app runs the battery down very fast. It is understandable because the camera is working non-stop. I have a feeling the app will get better with future releases.
