Hi, The issue about Microsoft collecting information when using the Seeing AI app came up. I just wanted to point out that some of the processing the app does is done on the phone and not in the cloud and therefore I doubt that this information is shared back with Microsoft. It seems that if you use the Document channel to scan a document you do need to be online and the OCR is probably done in the cloud. However, I put my phone in Airplane mode and the short tex channel worked just fine, it kept announcing what the camera saw. When some people reported how responsive this is I thought it must do the OCR on the phone otherwise it could never keep up with changes so fast and therefore I tried it in Airplane mode. I also tried the people channel in Airplane mode and when I pointed the camera to my own face it told me I was Sieghard and at one point I pointed it off the the side a bit where some pictures are hanging on the wall behind me and it suddenly said 4 faces so it obviously recognizes this even in Airplane mode. The Product channel I am sure won't work although I haven't tried it, but I assume it must of course have an internet connection so it can use whichever online barcode database or databases to look up the product.
