Double tap on the menu button in the upper left corner. Flick right to the settings button. Double tap. Find the Manage Lighting button and double tap so it says off. Now, it won't use the flash, but you will be depending on good lighting in the room or outside, etc. That should reduce battery drain. If it doesn't, try writing microsoft. HTH, Richard
