I've been playing around with my Seeing AI app the past couple of days. Since I don't have many print documents around the house, I've been trying the short text function. At least when I have tried getting it to read the text on my computer screen I've had almost zero luck. No matter how close or far I put the camera from the screen, I get mostly gibberish and at best just the top of the window. Certainly never the main text of, say, a newspaper article. I can't imagine how people are using this to read fast food restaurant menus as many are claiming.
