Hey, Kelby. I use an IPhone SE and a laptop. I hold the phone with the front facing camera pointing at the monitor; the bottom of the phone is parallel to the laptop keyboard. I've used the Short Text function to see what's going on with the computer, and can now see when Windows is trying to update before the start up message comes up.
I've also used Short Text to look through a book at my parents' house that someone had left on the arm of the couch. It was really fun to be able to see what my Mom or sister was reading, and I think I'll snag the book to get some recipes out of it myself. I used the back camera and made sure it was just over the left edge of the page. I chose the back camera because I can tell where it is and what it's pointing to, as opposed to the front one. I tried using the app to identify a $20, and it did that, sort of. I knew beforehand what it was, so maybe it doesn't count. But the Short Text menu saw what I think is the serial number and the denomination. I'll go play with it some more when I can borrow David's working eyes to understand what is being seen, or not seen. I'm not the most steady-handed person with the camera, either, so will go practice. But I like what I've seen so far, and I'm hoping it keeps getting developed.
