If scheduling is available in your city, then there will be a Schedule button on the main ride request screen. Simply double tap the button, and you will be taken through the scheduling process. The first screen will be several pickers where you can choose what date and time you want to schedule your ride at. The time picker goes in 10 minute increments from your current time, and I guess through the next 24 hours, though I haven't looked. The rest of the scheduling process is pretty straight forward, with you putting in your destination and finally hitting the confirm button to confirm your information. One thing I have found is that with Uber, scheduled rides are in a 15 minute window, where with Lyft they are in a 10 minute window. Also, the Uber pickers seem to be easier to go through than the Lyft pickers. Both are accessible, Lyft just has way more options in its picker which can be tedious to go through if you are looking for a time that is the following morning or mid day. I did a scheduled ride with Lyft last week, and in that case, the first driver who got the ride refused it for some reason. A second driver got my trip, and called me to say that she was some distance away but would make the trip if I wanted to keep it. To the drivers, the scheduled trip appears as a normal trip, and they are none the wiser unless you tell them. I was late arriving to work that day, but Lyft gave me a $5 refund due to the scheduling and ride issues.
