I used the Siri male Australian voice when I had an iPhone 5. I like to have a different voice for Siri from VoiceOver. Alex is not available for the iPhone 5 so I used Tom for VoiceOver. I like the clear, but casual speaking tone of Tom. The British voices sounded wooden and halting. The Irish voices sounded affected. The South African voices seemed to speak with a lisp. The Indian voices were high pitched. This left the Australian voices, which were more than acceptable, particularly the Siri male Australian voice. People found it a little jarring in public though to hear a clear Australian accent with a friendly casual tone coming from my phone when I asked Siri about the temperature outside, a baseball score, or my location.
