If the 6S was purchased in September or October of 2015 it could be one of
the ones that had a battery problem from the factory. There is a website
where you can check the serial number to see if it qualifies for a battery
replacement from Apple. I was having various battery problems with mine and
last April the battery was replaced for free by Apple since it was on the
list of the affected phones. I got mine the day they came out and am
thrilled to have gotten a new battery last April. I figure I can get at
least an extra year out of my phone.
I found the website to check the serial number by doing a Google search.

You should be able to recalibrate the battery by letting it run all the
way down and then charging it all the way back up. You may need to do
