Now that don’t seem too cool!

I really don’t lock my phone that much. Only if and when I’m traveling out of
my area.

I don’t set up my locked screen like yours, so I can’t offer anything.

Subject: Notifications on lock screen skipping password when tapped-Help!

I have a 6 digit password set on my iPhone 6S running the latest IOS. I enjoy
getting the news notifications and others on the locked screen. What I just
discovered is that double tapping on a news article or even a message takes me
directly to the app without the necessity to put my fingerprint or password.
Then the app can be closed and the phone is totally available for regular use.
In other words it totally bypasses the security.

I went to Password in the Settings and made sure it was set to immediately and
all of the other choices except Siri were turned off. I left Siri on because I
often use it to place calls.

This situation bypassing the security does not seem right to me. I did do a
restart on the phone with no change.

How can it be so easy to bypass the security. Does this happen to anyone else?
I did not realize that tapping a notice would open the phone until just
recently. Tapping a reminder asks for a password. I really hate to turn off
all notifications on the locked screen since I like to be informed.

What can I do?
