Subject: Creating RingTones on a Windows computer using Goldwave

Creating a Ringtone using GoldWave.

1. Open the song you wish to use for your ringtone in Goldwave.
2. Find the starting point where you want the ringtone to begin and press
the left-bracket key to drop the start marker.
3. Find the end point and press the right-bracket to drop the finish
marker.
4. Hit control+c to copy that section.
5. Hit control+p to paste the ringtone into a new file.
6. Open the file menu and pick save as.
7. Give it a name and tab to the file type. Arrow down to Media
Foundation, M4A and tab to save and hit enter.
8. Go to the folder where you saved the song, which may be the same folder
as where you opened it from depending on your GoldWave settings, and change
the file extension to m4r.
9. Play the file from Windows Explorer and it should be added to your
Ringtone library.
10. Sync your device with syncing all Ringtones Selected.

Note: if you want the ringtone tagged, in GoldWave before saving it, open
the file menu and press i for information and fill in the fields you want
included in the tag.
