Ditch the nFL app and go for TuneIn Radio's Premium subscription. It is $10 monthly for unlimited NFL, MLB and NBA live play-by-play games, from pre-season through playoffs. Though there is a yearly price, I mainly just do the monthly from August to February, and then cancel it for the spring and summer. This is about $60 or so, which is far cheaper than the $100 NFL Game Pass foolishness. And, much more accessible. Though there is not an Apple TV version of TuneIn, you can get it through their website or iPhone/iPad apps.
