So do I, but when my internet was out for several days during the recent hurricane, the Nest app doesn't work to control the thermostat, and the thermostat isn't accessible (especially so when it's constantly displaying error messages about not being able to contact the main Nest servers).
Nest should really put a little work into making the thermostat accessible directly; those of us who care should write to them and explain that the app isn't a sufficient work-around.
