Since Bluetooth 5 seems to be just getting implemented into smartphones I suspect we'll start to see bluetooth 5 devices including headsets and earpieces soon. I will believe it really makes a big difference if I get to try it myself since apparently Bluetooth 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 were supposed to do the same. However, I have had Bluetooth 4 devices which were much worse when it comes to lag than some of my old bluetooth 2.1 or 3.0 devices and firmly believe it is all in how it is implemented and maybe what components are used. Let's hope Bluetooth 5 really offers a virtually lag-free experience.
