Hi Mitch,

Maybe you can write to me off-list, I sent you a message a few days back,
but I'm not sure if you received it. You can write to [email protected].

My guess is that the 32 Gig iPod Touch Fifth Generation will be $299, at
least that is the price that was announced in the States, maybe it will be
$329 here, in any case, I think the $60 or $80 difference are justified
especially in the case of the iPod because the upgrade is so huge. The A5
processor, 5 MP camera and SIRI alone are absolutely worth that price, on
top of that you get dual band WiFi on 2.4 and 5 Mhz, Bluetooth 4.0, the new
headset (the ear pod) which I expect to be much better, you get the option
of a wrist loop, the larger screen and the new dock connector which will be
easier to plug in since it can be plugged in any which way. The 30-Pin
cables are also not the most robust and I'd expect a smaller connector would
be less prone to breakage. As somebody without any left-over stuff like
cases, docks, cables etc. you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Anyhow, this is just my opinion, Apple is going to continue to offer a 16
Gig and 32 Gig iPod Touch fourth Generation along with the new ones for $50
less (that is in the States) so if you paid $240 for yours that isn't really
much of a special, but of course stores are going to be keen on clearing out
their old inventory before the new ones come in.

Take care,

Sieghard

Hi

Sieghard well because best bye had a speshel on it for 240 and I thought
that the I pod touch 5 would be way more exspencive. plus I thought that you
were able to upgrade the ipod touch to ios 6 and have the same features and
stuff as you would if you got the I pod touch 4. it is not to late for me
to cansel my order though. from Mich. ----- Original Message -----

Mitch,

Why, oh why did you not wait a couple of weeks and ordered the iPod ?Touch
5th Gen, the difference I think between a 32 Gig 4th Gen and a 32 Gig 5th
Gen is approx. $50. You will not be able to use any of the barcode scanning
apps let alone OCR in a meaningful way because of the only 1 MP camera of
the 4. iOS 6 would have been multiple times snappier since the 5 has the
same A5 chip as the iPhone 4S-not a good decision in my opinion. The only
good thing is that if you ordered it from Apple especially you do have a
30-day return window and unless the $50 or whatever the difference will be
here in Canada is the problem, you really want the fifth Generation iPod
Touch at this point.

I am curious as to why you decided to go with the fourth Generation now
instead of waiting 2 or 3 weeks.

Regards,

Sieghard
