I'm actually surprised the cost of the components is that high. How about we guess the cost of the components in a $159 set of Airpods, maybe $10? How about the actual material cost of a Milanese Loop band from Apple which I believe is also around $150, my guess is about $3 or $4. Of course these are worthless excersizes since there is a lot more involved than the cost of the components.

Another interesting note from the company's report is that it estimates the cost of manufacturing has increased by about $0.60; given the addition of the back glass, wireless charging circuitry and so on, that's unsurprising.
