Many thanks. It is circuitous and since I've already created the note and am pretty much just using my iPhone to read through it, using the Dropbox app to do so is the easiest thing to do. It reads txt files just fine. I've been wanting to use the Notes app more but apparently, it works best with notes created within it and not as an app for working with notes created elsewhere. Alan, It is a fairly circuitous route, but from the dropbox app, double tap on the file. Double tap on share. Flick right until you cannot go any farther and you will find an unlabeled button, double tap. Then, flick right passed the first mention of notes, to the open in button and double tap. Then, flick right until you get to add to notes and double tap. Now, you will find yourself in the note in the Notes app. If someone has a better way, please chime in.
