Hi, Since upgrading to iOS 6 on my iPod Touch 4G, I am getting a periodic screen where it is connecting to Apple for wifi hotspot authentication and returning a Success page. From what I've read, this was the source of the outage the other day for wifi.
This seems to happen every few minutes, I'm jjust using my own wifi, and when it does this I am interrupted in what I am doing and have to wait for the success message, and hit Done. Very annoying. Is there any way to suppress these screens and have this done in the background? Also, I find it intrusive that Apple is potentially logging where I connect from. Should it not be up to a public wifi's administrator to set up restrictions or connection requirements, not Apple? Hoping this resolves itself soon...
