I use the group feature of WhatsApp quite a bit ... in concept it's very much like this mailing list, except each of us in the group leaves voice messages instead of email messages to the group.
This might be a good way to offer lessons of any kind, as each less would go out to the entire group, who could also hear any questions. When recording long voice messages you may want to know that there is an alternative to holding your finger down on the voice message button (which is the usual way to record a message). The alternative is to start the message by holding your finger down, then use your other hand to turn off voice over and then turn it back on. As soon as you turn voice over off you can release your finger from the voice message button and it will continue recording. You can verify this by looking for a timer which is at the bottom of the screen near the voice message button. To stop the recording you give the voice message button a double tap. I have a list of, say, eight people, with their phone numbers, who wish to avail of my services. Wilde we would be a group, as such, I am thinking that the calls would be on an individual basis. am I right in assuming one can use WhatsApp in the same way that one can use Skype? so, we can chat away as with a normal phone call? would there be any point in me setting up a group? it might be easier to keep tabs of the various calls and people, but not sure about that… in fact, I almost wish I hadn’t volunteered, I don’t really know how to go about this. can anyone give me some tips as to how to organise this via the app? thanks in advance, fingers crossed, Sandy sent from the dark side of the moon -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
